New in 3.2
MyScript iink SDK 3.2 comes packed with improvements and several noticeable new features. This page provides an overview of the changes.

New features
Placeholder blocks in Raw Content
Placeholder block is designed to provide integrators with a method to utilize the UI features of the iink SDK to manage content that is not inherently recognized by iink. This block is defined by its exact position, image, interactivity options, and custom metadata, allowing you to store relevant information within your document. We have introduced a new PlaceholderController object to add and manipulate these placeholders within a "Raw Content" part.
One way to use placeholders is for keyboard input. You can add an image of a text widget, and when users want to edit text, the widget appears where the image is. Users can then type directly into the widget using the keyboard. Once editing is finished, the text widget is converted into an image and added back to the iink context. The text widget is controlled by the integrator, not by MyScript iink SDK.

More flexibility with Raw Content
We have introduced a new raw-content.classification.types property, that combined with the raw-content.recognition.types, allows you to disable both ink classification and recognition in a Raw Content type.
With such a configuration, the ink analysis process is reduced, allowing Raw Content to be used for optimized drawing while taking advantage of the interactive tools.
In addition, this new property, combined with all the legacy properties, makes Raw Content very flexible, allowing for specific behaviors depending on its configuration. Raw Content is thus the key to implementing various use cases.
➤ For more details on possible use cases, refer to the Raw Content type.

➤ If you are using Raw Content and upgrading from a previous version of the iink SDK, be sure to follow the migration instructions.
Other changes
Update to the latest MyScript technology
MyScript iink SDK 3.2 is based on the latest version of MyScript's core recognition SDK, resulting in recognition performance and accuracy improvements.
While recognition assets provided with MyScript iink SDK 3.1 will stay compatible, you may want to update your users to the latest assets if you migrate them to 3.2.
