MyScript Server Monoserver Installation Documentation

This documentation explains how to launch a quick test version of your delivery.

The following instruction will let you launch MyScript Server and its dependencies (a light reverse proxy and a mongodb database) on a single server. This may be useful for evaluation or quickly launch a development server.

The docker-compose and docker files that are used in this section are not meant to be production-ready, although they can be used as a starting point to build your own docker production configuration.
Make sure you read the prerequisites before going further in this documentation

License files

Before launching the test, you must copy the license files that were given to you in the ./iink-licensekey directory.

Launching the test servers

In the root directory type ./test-server.sh start. This script will perform the following actions:

  • Create docker images of the servers if needed.
  • Start docker containers from those images.
  • Load the recognition resources if needed.
  • Wait for all the servers to be up.

The first start can be quite long.

Test the application

Once the servers are up, you can access a demo page using http://localhost.

The page contains links to three demos corresponding to three recognition types of MyScript's technology:

  • Text recognition
  • Math recognition
  • Diagram recognition

You can also reach the administration UI using http://localhost/admin.

Stopping the test servers

In the root directory type ./test-server.sh stop.

Uninstallation

As the monoserver installation runs docker containers, nothing is installed on the server. Thus there is no need of uninstallation. Delete the root directory of the delivery will remove all of MyScript's software.

However, please note that the Docker images that were created during the test will stay in your Docker cache until you purge them.
