Migration guide

This page lists the key points to pay attention to when migrating existing code from to the 4.5 MyScript iink Cloud APIs.

iinkTS changes from v3.x → v4.0.0

Version 4.0.0 renames every class, type, or constant that reused native MyScript SDK terms, such as Editor or Recognizer, for unrelated front-end concepts. This was the source of long-standing confusion between the native SDK and iinkTS. This is a breaking change with no compatibility shim; the old names no longer exist.

Increased maximum number of web sockets on iink backend server

We optimized the default maximum size of web socket messages on iink backend server. With this configuration change, the JVM memory can support 1,000 simultaneous WebSocket sessions while maintaining an adequate message buffer size. We have therefore increased the iink.backend.max-websockets setting, which is now 1000 by default.
